Treatment of surface

I prefer hard oil which closes the pores of the wood and makes the soft pine harder. Additionally I lay on liquid or bee's wax.

I do no use any lacquer because I find it too complicated. And also the surface is not so nice and natural.

With my method it is often possible to repair dents in the surface:

put a wet cloth on the damaged area, place a hot iron on it for some seconds until the area is flat again. Then wait some hours until the wood is dry again and smooth the surface - ready.
